Mother Allison Caudill
Episcopal Priest, spouse, mom to two dogs and a black cat named Sabbath. We are also the landlords of a second black cat called PK (Priest Kid/Porch Kitty) who chose us on a stormy night in April of 2024. He is the envy of every cat in the neighborhood for his tiny heated barn on our porch.
I am still relatively new to preaching and public speaking, but I have always been a writer. From a young age I wrote down the stories I made up while playing with my sister, and to this day I am constantly making notes in my phone of titles for books, ideas for stories, and whole poems that until now have never been shared with anyone. It’s never been about ambition or even about finding an audience. I’ve just always been compelled to write. As I continue to live into the life of a priest, I find myself coming back to my first loves, reading and writing. I believe I am a better pastor, and a better person, when I tap into the vulnerable part of myself that flourishes through writing and reflection. I hope to share that part of myself with you here, and perhaps together we can see God and one another a little clearer.
